Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at the Iowa State Government. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for analyzing, diagnosing, and repairing computer-controlled systems on our roadway and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and diagnose issues with computer-controlled systems to determine necessary repairs
  • Set priorities to ensure critical repairs are handled first and coordinate with supervisors
  • Operate heavy equipment and perform physical activities to maintain roadways, bridges, and other infrastructure
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and prior experience in a maintenance or repair role is preferred.
