Busser Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Busser to join our team at The Yardley Inn. As a Busser, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shift and promptly greet guests as they are seated.
  • Bring bread, butter, and water to the table and remove used tableware between courses.
  • Clear tables after guests and take tableware to the dish room for washing.
  • Clean tables, chairs, and booths between seating and check the floor for any spills or messes.
  • Respond to guest requests and communicate with servers and hostesses to ensure efficient seating and table utilization.
  • Assist servers with food delivery, especially during peak periods, and thank guests as they leave.
Physical Demands:
  • The employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and focus.
Working Conditions:
  • The restaurant environment can be moderate to high noise level.
