Cement Mason Job Description

At Atkinson Construction, we are seeking a skilled Cement Mason to join our team. As a union contractor, we work with local union halls to hire craft workers. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including chipping, patching, and grinding concrete, as well as setting forms and perimeter forms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chipping and patching concrete
  • Grinding and finishing concrete surfaces
  • Setting forms and perimeter forms
  • Operating rodding machines and bull floaters
  • Assisting with concrete polishing and pervious concrete work

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervising a crew of three or more Cement Masons
  • Coordinating and scheduling work

Requirements:

  • Experience in cement masonry and concrete finishing
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
