Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

In this exciting role as a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will embark on a journey to deliver exceptional patient care and outcomes. You will be responsible for performing mobile diagnostic imaging procedures in various settings, utilizing cutting-edge technology to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment of patients with diseases and injuries.
Key Responsibilities:- Travel to diverse locations, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, correctional institutions, and residential homes, to perform portable x-rays and EKG exams.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and protocols while conducting diagnostic imaging exams.
- Collect and verify order documentation and patient information prior to procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams.
- Operate portable radiologic equipment at patients' bedsides or designated exam settings.
- Determine exposure factors based on height, weight, body part, and degree of penetration required.
- Maintain safe work practices, adhering to radiation safety principles, infection control, and ALARA guidelines.
- Process images and review them for diagnostic quality before transmission.
- Transmit images and associated documentation in a timely manner according to company protocols.
- Meet state-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist RT (R) or a valid state x-ray license.
- Possess a valid state-issued driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
- Ability to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to walk up and down stairs easily while carrying equipment.
- Capacity to work a varied schedule that may require evenings, holidays, and weekends.
The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
