Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Birth Place Anti-P Coordinator at Rutherford Regional Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to a group of assigned patients within the hospital, collaborating with the medical staff and other members of the healthcare team to deliver quality patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members, sharing pertinent patient data and needs, and providing accurate and timely handoff communications.
  • Establish individualized nursing diagnoses based on assessment data and formulate care plans, collaborating with patients and family members to address care needs and provide patient-centered care.
  • Identify and address patient/family care needs and/or problems promptly, regularly assessing and reassessing patients, and evaluating patient responses to nursing and MD interventions and treatments.
  • Initiate discharge planning to meet the discharge care needs of each individual patient, providing patient and family education in regard to hospitalization/admission, medications, and/or in preparation for discharge.
  • Use safe medication practices, documenting outcomes such as patient response to new medication, side effects, and adverse reactions, and complete medication reconciliation upon admission, transfer, and discharge.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN preferred.
  • Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state compact license) required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in acute care, preferably within the past 3 years.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Handle With Care, PALS, ACLS, NRP-Advanced, Fetal monitoring, STABLE, and Licenses: Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state compact license) required.
