We are seeking an academically oriented Surgical Pathologist to join our team at the West Virginia University Health System. This is an exciting opportunity to practice within a largely sub-specialized pathology group and contribute to the growth and development of our department.
Key Responsibilities- Practice in surgical pathology sub-specialty areas, including lung pathology, head and neck pathology, genitourinary pathology, pediatric/perinatal pathology, and other specialties.
- Provide excellent patient care and be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Collaborate with faculty across the WVU campuses and contribute to scholarly productivity.
- Participate in leadership roles and contribute to the growth and development of our department.
- MD, MD/PhD, or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
- Board certification/eligibility in AP or AP/CP.
- Eligibility to obtain a state medical license at the time of employment.
- For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor ranks, a demonstrated track-record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required.
