Job Summary
Del Sol Medical Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist PRN to join our team. As a CT Technologist PRN, you will be responsible for operating CatScan equipment, positioning patients to produce diagnostic radiographs, and performing related duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CatScan equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs
- Position patients to ensure accurate and safe imaging
- Perform reconstruction and special processing of data
- Closely observe patients and perform first aid as necessary
- Confer with physicians to ensure accurate and safe imaging
- Perform a variety of clerical tasks, including pulling jackets, inputting/editing exams, and completing requisitions
- Record and maintain data on magnetic disc, tape, and hard copies
- Ensure accurate identification of film, including side and radiological factors
- Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of rooms, equipment, and personnel
- Participate in Quality Improvement and safety programs
- Ensure accurate recording of hours worked, adhering to hospital policy
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent required
- Texas Medical Board certification required
- Advanced certifications in related field preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology required
- Ability to examine radiographs for evaluation techniques, positions, and other related qualities
- Ability to position patients and adjust equipment to produce desired radiographic images
- Skill in safe and efficient operation of CatScan equipment
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
