The Operations Leader is tasked with achieving operational objectives in the production sector by aligning with the company's vision and strategic goals. This position emphasizes the creation and maintenance of a safe workplace in accordance with all relevant regulations, managing plant operations within budget constraints, and driving continuous improvements in product quality while spearheading all company initiatives aimed at operational excellence across five key areas: safety, personnel, service, quality, and cost.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct oversight to production supervisors and/or functional teams involved in manufacturing processes.
  • Accountable for ensuring production and shipping timelines are met, maintaining product quality, managing manufacturing expenses, and fostering positive relationships with employees and the community.
  • Develop and implement plant manufacturing budgets effectively.
  • Analyze and forecast workforce needs for production.
  • Establish and enforce operational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient use of manufacturing equipment.
  • Monitor quality and productivity metrics to meet service and cost targets.
  • Manage employee training, development, performance evaluations, and necessary corrective actions.
  • Regularly assess and communicate progress towards Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Conduct frequent communication sessions with the workforce to enhance the Business Management System (BMS) and Operational Excellence.
  • Guide teams in effectively utilizing Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies to execute continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement Projects actively.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.
  • Must have completed formal training in and/or possess at least one (1) year of experience applying continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, etc.
  • Must hold a bachelor's degree or higher, or have a minimum of four (4) years of experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
  • Must have at least five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility or operations environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a leadership role, supervising teams or individuals.
  • Possession of Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.).
  • Experience with timekeeping and/or production control systems.
  • Experience with safety management systems.
  • Experience leading or participating in OSHA VPP Audits or maintaining VPP status.
  • Experience managing profit and loss (P&L).
  • Experience in the paint or chemical processing industry.
  • Experience in a multi-shift operational environment.
