Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to provide exceptional medical services in collaboration with our primary care physicians. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the pursuit of excellence in healthcare.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain and document patient history, conducting thorough physical exams and evaluating patients to provide accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, manage chronic illnesses, and prescribe medication in accordance with New York State and federal law.
  • Order and interpret laboratory, radiological, and special examinations or tests, ensuring timely and accurate results.
  • Provide preventative health services, including health education and counseling, to promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.
  • Collaborate with other clinicians and staff members to ensure seamless continuity of care for patients.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required, including attending staff educational programs and meetings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from a program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
  • Current NCCPA Board Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or eligibility for registration.
  • Active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or eligibility to enroll.
  • BLS or ACLS certification required.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office.
