Mammography Radiographer

Radiology Associates of Daytona seeks a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our elite team in Eastern Central Florida. As a key member of our radiology team, you will contribute to delivering exceptional patient care and medical imaging services.

Our ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in radiologic technology, with a focus on mammography procedures and protocols. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing a variety of technical activities associated with screening and diagnostic mammography procedures.
• Operating mammographic radiographic equipment and other devices, adhering to safety standards and radiation protection guidelines.
• Positioning patients for exams, calculating exposure factors, and assisting physicians as needed.
• Evaluating radiographs for diagnostic quality and obtaining additional images when required.
• Preparing and setting up medical supplies using aseptic techniques, explaining procedures to patients, and providing orientation to new team members.
• Assisting in maintenance and compilation of statistical data, demonstrating proficiency in performing all breast imaging procedures, including breast interventional procedures.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A graduate degree from an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.
• A minimum of two years' experience in radiologic imaging modalities, with one year of mammography experience preferred.
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (RT(R)) and Mammography (M), or the ability to obtain within six months of employment.
• BLS Certification.

Additionally, you should possess:

• Proficiency with mammography procedures and protocols.
• Anatomy and physiology knowledge.
• Experience with the use, QA, and troubleshooting of various types of radiologic equipment.
• Radiation safety and protection requirements for staff, patients, and visitors.
• Ability to use computer and network systems for processing and submitting images for interpretation by radiologists.
