OSP Laborer

Velox, LLC is seeking a highly skilled OSP Laborer to join our team. As an OSP Laborer, you will play a critical role in supporting our utility construction crew by performing a variety of tasks to ensure the successful completion of projects.

• Material Handling: Unload and distribute materials to designated areas, following supervisor instructions and project plans.
• Site Preparation: Measure, mark, and record openings or distances to prepare the layout area for construction.
• Cleanliness and Organization: Clean and prepare specific areas of the job site, including digging trenches, erecting scaffolding, and removing hazardous materials.
• Tool Operation: Operate a range of hand and power tools to support construction activities.
• Traffic Control: Direct traffic near, in, or around work zones to ensure safety.
• Machinery Assistance: Assist equipment operators with alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
• Job Site Maintenance: Clean the job site at the end of each day, ensuring trash is disposed of properly and materials or equipment are safely stored.

• Communication Skills: Listen to, understand, and follow directions from supervisors and team members.
• Flexibility: Adapt to changing assignments and priorities.
• Basic Arithmetic: Perform basic arithmetic calculations to count and take inventory of materials.
• Weather Adaptability: Work in various weather conditions.
• Physical Demands: Stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.
