Payroll Clerk

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, including calculating wages, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and maintaining accurate payroll records.
Key Responsibilities- Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Calculate and verify hours worked, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including changes in salaries, tax withholdings, and benefits.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports and statements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a payroll clerk or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and labor laws.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
