Radiology Imaging Specialist for Clinical Excellence

We are seeking a dedicated Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team at Magnet Medical. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
About the RoleThis position is for a full-time Interventional Radiology Technologist, working on a 13-week contract with 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be based in Athens, Georgia, and will work on 10-hour shifts.
The salary package for this role includes a tax-free stipend amount, which will be determined upon confirmation. Please note that the pay package is subject to change.
Job DescriptionAs a Radiology Imaging Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting with minimally invasive procedures, utilizing imaging techniques such as fluoroscopy, CT scans, and ultrasound. You will work closely with interventional radiologists and other medical professionals to perform procedures that treat diseases, blockages, and injuries without traditional surgery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing the interventional radiology suite by ensuring all necessary equipment, sterile instruments, and supplies are available and functioning.
- Reviewing patient information, medical history, and previous imaging studies to ensure the correct procedure and appropriate imaging protocols.
- Verifying patient identity, allergies, and consent forms before the procedure begins.
- Explain the procedure to the patient, addressing any concerns, and providing reassurance to reduce anxiety.
- Assisting during procedures, operating imaging equipment, and maintaining a sterile environment.
