Job Responsibilities:

This role entails researching, generating, and validating security controls that align with the client's Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ICD 503 Security Accreditation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining, creating, and maintaining Systems Security Plans (SSP) to facilitate Accreditation and Authorization (A&A) reviews.
  • Coordinating with client security organizations to achieve Authority to Operate (ATO).
  • Reviewing systems to identify potential security vulnerabilities and recommending enhancements to mitigate risks.
  • Assisting in the implementation of changes and documenting upgrades.

Daily Activities:

  • Assist in developing and updating security authorization packages in compliance with client requirements and FISMA.
  • Core documents you will manage include the System Security Plan (SSP), Risk Assessment Report, Security Assessment Plan and Report, Contingency Plan, Incident Response Plan (IRP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M), Remediation Plans, and Configuration Management Plan (CMP).
  • Ensure that physical security measures are in place to support the system's security requirements.
  • Maintain an inventory of hardware and software for the information system.
  • Assist in developing, coordinating, testing, and training staff on Contingency Plans and Incident Response Plans.
  • Manage emerging and defined risks associated with the administration and use of assigned information systems.
  • Coordinate with the client's Cybersecurity Unit to maintain compliance and authorization to operate (ATO).
  • Conduct risk analyses to identify cost-effective and essential safeguards.
  • Support Incident Response and Contingency activities.
  • Provide continuous monitoring to enforce client security policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to complete mandatory agency data calls in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess an applicable US Government Clearance.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of general work experience, with at least three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Security Administrator or equivalent knowledge.
  • A strong understanding of FISMA, the SDLC, RMF, and SA&A processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one of the following certifications: CISSP, CCSP, CISM, GSLC, CISA, CASP, or equivalent.
  • Experience with FedRAMP and Cloud services (Azure, AWS).
  • Familiarity with CSAM is a plus.
