Job Title: Woodworking Specialist

Job Type: Temp to Hire

We are currently seeking a skilled Woodworker with finish carpentry skills and machine operating skills to join our team at BBSI Southern California. This position is ideal for individuals who have experience working with wood door components for a company that specializes in custom door manufacturing.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Work with other team members to complete projects as assigned.
• Performs basic woodworking such as trimming, shaping, and finishing.
• Knows how to use various tools and equipment required for the job at hand. Operates power tools according to manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines. Trims, shapes, and finishes materials using a variety of woodworking equipment such as routers, sander/finisher, band saw, etc.
• Safely move and load material with forklift
• Machine operating

Requirements:

• Ability to use an up-cut saw and change its blades.
• Read work orders (all orders are in English).
• Ability to read a tape measure and use a square.
• Ability to use a jointer and planer safely.
• Ability to use a Taylor Clamp Carrier.
• Ability to sand using a wide belt sander.
• Ability to glue-up cure material for stiles.

Shift Details:

Day shifts available- must be flexible with OT and occasional weekends

Compensation: $19.00 per hour
