At Albany Medical Center, we are seeking an Administrative Support Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills.

About the Role

This position will provide administrative support to our nursing staff, ensuring seamless delivery of patient care. As an Administrative Support Associate, you will be responsible for assembling and maintaining patient records, filing data, and obtaining reports necessary for departmental operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist visitors in a courteous manner
  • Answer phones in a professional and efficient manner
  • Record and relay messages accurately
  • Locate key personnel to direct calls and respond to inquiries
  • Make appointments and book rooms as needed
  • Distribute outgoing reports via email and inter-departmental mail
  • Maintain department reports and records
  • Operate office machines, such as photocopiers, fax machines, and computers
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) with post-high school training or related work experience
  • Certification with the National Association of Health Unit Coordinators (NAHUC) preferred
  • A minimum of one-year healthcare or clerical experience preferred
  • The ability to operate basic office equipment and demonstrate basic computer skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $18.36 - $23.78 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as paid time off and holidays.
