Job Title: Flight Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Nurse to join our team of air transportation experts. As a Flight Nurse, you will play a critical role in safely transporting patients to and from medical facilities, as well as responding to scene calls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor, and treat patients in critical care situations.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians' orders.
  • Provide a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintain regular equipment and base checks, and comply with safety standards and briefings.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
  • Share shift change information to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of recent experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting.
  • Maintains current licensure or certification in at least one state (and any applicable states).
  • Current driver's license.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) certifications - BCLS, ACLS, PALS.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider - Provided During Orientation.
  • Transport Provider Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC) within 1 year of hire date.
  • Specialty certification (CFRN) within 2 years of hire date.
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Instructor certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TPATC).
  • Previous air medical transport experience.
  • BSN / MSN.
  • Prior EMS experience.
