Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technician III to join our team at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center. As a Surgical Technician III, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures in the department. Your expertise and knowledge will be essential in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room and surgical equipment.
  • Provide technical support during surgical procedures, including setting up and maintaining aseptic technique.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the safe and efficient conduct of surgical procedures.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of educational programs for surgical technicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies and procedures related to surgical services.
Requirements
  • State of Colorado Surgical Registry required (DORA).
  • BLS required. Current CST Certification from NBSTSA preferred.
  • Graduate of Surgical Technician Program.
  • One year's experience as a Surgical Technician in an OR. Ability to meet the requirements of Surgical Technician III position.
  • Advanced knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and instrumentation.
  • Ability to precept and mentor new and existing staff members in the role of a Surgical Technician.
  • Previous experience in Spine Service Line.
