Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Beauty Therapist to join our team at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center. As a Beauty Therapist, you will be responsible for providing a range of beauty services to our residents, including haircuts, shampoos, perms, coloring, manicures, and pedicures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality beauty services to residents, including haircuts, shampoos, perms, coloring, manicures, and pedicures.
  • Schedule appointments with residents and communicate with other care team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and safe beauty shop environment, including restocking supplies and tracking inventory.
  • Keep accurate records of services provided and charges to be turned into the business office for billing.
  • Transport residents to and from the beauty shop when necessary, and provide services in their rooms when required.
  • Communicate with family members and residents to learn their style preferences and document services provided in the EMR system.
  • Provide services for Memory Care residents to maintain their comfort and style.
  • Assist Activity Coordinators as needed and maintain confidentiality of all work-related information according to HIPAA regulations.
  • Ensure residents' rights, privacy, and HIPAA regulations are followed at all times.
Requirements
  • Licensed beautician in the State of Colorado.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform customary duties of a beautician.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as required in the daily course of work.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Experience working with older adults is preferred, but not required.
Working Environment

The Beauty Therapist will work in a beauty shop environment, as well as throughout the community, including resident rooms. The employee may be subjected to hostile and emotionally upset residents and/or families.
