Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory levels, obtain quotes, and request orders as needed.
  • Track chemical and lab supply inventories, organize deliveries, and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare solutions, handle check-in and check-out processes, and distribute chemicals as required.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot scientific equipment, call for service from 3rd parties or Facilities as necessary, and provide backup coverage to the CCB stockroom on Busch.

Requirements:

  • A high school/vocational school education or equivalent.
  • Three years of varied experience in maintaining an inventory and ability to group lead.
  • Use of personal vehicle for business travel; valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related physical science field.
  • Lab Safety training and knowledge of proper chemical handling regulations preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs, walk up and down stairs while carrying items, and transport chemicals and equipment in and out of lab space for each course.
