Responsibilities
In this hybrid position, you will provide technical leadership on electric power industry reliability planning and operations issues. Your expertise will help shape mandatory reliability standards and ensure compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regulations under the Energy Policy Act of 2005. Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing subject matter expertise to EEI and its members on transmission and distribution questions.
  • Planning, organizing, and leading technical discussions with EEI's Reliability Technical Committee.
  • Analyzing NERC Reliability Standards, guidelines, and other documents to drive member consensus positions and timely submissions of EEI comments.
  • Supporting the development of EEI comments for FERC and DOE rulemakings and proceedings.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a minimum of three to five years of experience in the electric utility industry. Strong knowledge of transmission and distribution system operations or bulk-power system engineering/planning is essential. Exceptional interpersonal skills, time management, and research abilities are also required. You should be proficient in MS Office Suite and have strong written and verbal communication skills.

What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 for the Manager role and $100,000 - $140,000 for the Senior Manager role, based on individual qualifications.
