Speech-Language Pathologist Opportunity in Bessemer, MI

Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in a nearby location, providing essential support to students from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments and diagnoses of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students.
  • Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Develop and implement tailored IEPs to meet each student's unique needs.
  • Direct Therapy Services: Provide evidence-based therapy services to students, ensuring personalized care and support.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to promote student success and well-being.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree: Possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Michigan SLP License: Hold a valid Michigan SLP license or be eligible to obtain licensure prior to the start date.
  • ASHA Certificate: Possess an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or be willing to obtain it.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
