Overview of Outpatient Services:
Our outpatient programs focus on treating mental health and substance use disorders through a combination of therapeutic groups and community resources. We emphasize trauma-informed care to mitigate the adverse effects of substance use.
Role Summary:
The CCBHC Intake Coordinator II serves as a Clinical Therapist for the SAMHSA Certified Community Behavioral Health Center Improvement & Advancement grant. This role involves conducting comprehensive clinical assessments, making diagnoses, and ensuring adherence to quality measures mandated by the grant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical assessments and diagnoses during outpatient intake sessions.
- Create and manage client-centered treatment plans, tracking progress and making necessary updates.
- Provide crisis intervention and assessments as required.
- Engage in clinical consultations throughout the treatment process, especially in high-risk situations.
- Participate in after-hours coverage on a rotational basis with other clinical staff.
- Ensure timely completion of all clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Conduct data management and quality improvement reporting as needed.
- Maintain compliance with licensing and registration requirements.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Counseling, with current registration in good standing.
- Preferred candidates will hold an active LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC license.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years' experience in DMH or SAPC services, specifically with clients facing co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges.
- Experience in managing clients undergoing acute withdrawal.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices.
- Proficiency in delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Background Requirements:
- Must pass CDCR fingerprint clearance.
- Must not have been on parole or probation for at least two years.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of issues related to substance abuse and mental health.
- Cultural competence and ability to work with diverse populations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as some positions may require proficiency in a second language.
