Job Summary:

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing high-quality images for interpretation.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and complex studies, assisting in a variety of imaging procedures.
  • Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.
  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning, reporting potential problems or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  • Submit high-quality images and documents to PACS, ensuring accurate labeling and patient data/history.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly department, adhering to regulatory agencies' compliance.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner, performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a Sonography certification program.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Abdomen (AB) Specialty or equivalent certification.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification.

Work Environment:

Variable Shift, 20 hours/week, at SSM Health's St. Clare Hospital - Baraboo, WI.
