Mathematics Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Instructor to join our team as a part-time faculty member at the South Orange County Community College District. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching mathematics courses to a diverse group of students and contributing to the development of our mathematics program.

• Teach mathematics courses in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
• Prepare and provide students with course materials, lectures, and assessments that support learning objectives.
• Assess student performance and maintain accurate grade records.
• Report assessment data on student learning outcomes and administrative unit outcomes.
• Utilize the results of student learning outcomes assessment to make improvements in teaching and learning.
• Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas and follow college and district policies and procedures.
• Complete all program/college/district reporting deadlines on time and submit required documents in a timely manner.
• Make use of technology and learning materials that are current and support the lesson.

• Master's degree in mathematics or applied mathematics, or a bachelor's degree in mathematics or applied mathematics and a master's degree in statistics, physics, or mathematics education.
