Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a skilled Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team. As a solo driver, you will be responsible for hauling freight across the eastern United States, with a focus on delivering high-quality service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, as well as Ryder's safety policies and procedures
  • Load and unload freight, and assist in the loading/unloading process as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and logs, including hours of service, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Class A CDL with endorsements for the position
  • 9 months of verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle within the past 3 years, or 2 years of experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years of experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions, read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
