Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards customers, providing fast, friendly, and accurate service to create a positive shopping experience.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other associates to achieve sales goals and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Merchandise Management: Ensure that produce is received, prepared, and displayed in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
  • Inventory Management: Understand and use company tools such as the average cost inventory system (ACIS) and ordering system (CAO) to manage inventory and minimize waste.
  • Food Safety and Workplace Safety: Maintain a complete understanding of and adherence to company guidelines, policies, and standard practices related to food safety and workplace safety.
  • Accident Reporting: Report all associate and customer accidents in accordance with established Food Lion procedures to the Manager on Duty.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Appearance and Attire: Wear the Food Lion uniform with apron, complete with name badge, when on duty, and maintain a neat and clean appearance while adhering to the Food Lion dress code.
  • Training and Development: Successfully complete Computer-Based Training (CBT), Training Packet, and Training Aid courses to enhance knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a sales or customer service role preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales goals.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
