Culinary Director Opportunity at Taylor University

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a visionary Culinary Director to lead our culinary team at Taylor University. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for shaping the dining experience for students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Culinary Leadership: Collaborate with university stakeholders to develop and implement innovative menus and dining concepts that meet the needs and preferences of the campus community.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of culinary professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and creativity in food service operations.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure adherence to food safety standards and AVI's operational procedures, maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of food service.
  • Cost Control and Efficiency: Manage food costs and labor efficiency, driving business results while maintaining exceptional quality.
  • Culinary Trends and Innovation: Stay current with culinary trends, particularly those relevant to university dining, and implement new ideas and concepts to stay ahead of the curve.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of culinary management experience
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in menu development, cost control, and food service operations
  • Experience with culinary software and Microsoft Office applications
