Job Summary:

The Boys and Girls Club of Garfield is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health & Wellness Coordinator to lead the implementation of Trauma-Informed Practices aligning with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision & Program Quality: Oversee the quality and implementation of mental health programs, ensuring they adhere to BGCA standards.
  • Case Management: Manage and oversee the collection of formal and informal assessments, including observations of youth behavior, analyzing data on progress and outcomes, and maintaining detailed documentation.
  • Staff Training: Conduct regular training sessions for staff, updating them on the latest mental health and wellness best practices.
  • Community Engagement: Work with Mental Health & Wellness Specialists to liaise with schools and external agencies, advocating for services and managing documentation related to IEP/504 Plans and Wellness Team observations.
  • Administrative Oversight: Manage needs assessments and oversee documentation processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with HIPAA and other legal standards.

Requirements:

  • Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple locations and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Proficiency in conducting training and facilitating meetings.
  • Demonstrated Ability: Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Data Collection & Analysis: Proficient in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Adaptability: Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to changing environments.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Experience in implementing trauma-informed care and managing mental health programs.
