Nurse Informaticist

Houston Methodist is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Informaticist to lead our clinical technology initiatives and drive innovation in healthcare informatics. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing technology solutions to meet clinical business goals and objectives.

• Collaborate with executive leaders and IT teams to develop and implement strategic technology initiatives that enhance clinical practice and improve patient outcomes.
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of clinical systems and technologies to support evidence-based care and improve operational efficiency.
• Provide education and training to clinicians and staff on the effective use of clinical systems and technologies.
• Assess opportunities for technology improvements and develop solutions to address clinical and operational challenges.
• Develop and implement communication strategies to ensure accurate information regarding key technology initiatives and their impact on clinical practice.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration preferred.
• At least six years of experience in nursing or related healthcare experience, with two years of experience in informatics or IT systems management and implementation preferred.
• Registered Nurse licensure in Texas or Compact State licensure within 60 days.
• Epic certification or proficiency in at least one Epic clinical module or clinical informatics within one year.

• Informatics Nurse (ANCC) certification.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) certification.
