We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Center Store Associate to join our team at VG's Grocery. As a Center Store Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring our store's center store is well-stocked, visually appealing, and easy to navigate for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, unload, and stock merchandise in the back room, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Properly fill, rotate, and merchandise shelves, cases, and displays on the sales floor, maintaining a visually appealing and organized store environment.
  • Notify management when products and supplies need to be ordered, ensuring timely restocking and minimizing stockouts.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of all products carried in the center store, including their locations and features, to provide excellent customer service and support.
  • Handle spoiled or damaged products according to established guidelines, minimizing waste and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked center store, adhering to all safety and food safety guidelines.
  • Follow all guest experience guidelines, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the team.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Retail or related experience a plus.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
  • Basic mathematical skills and attention to detail.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and moving up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate may be required to bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently. The work environment is typically a retail store setting with varied temperatures and occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
