Position Overview:
The Aircraft Coating Specialist is responsible for preparing aircraft surfaces for painting, ensuring that all tasks are executed safely and efficiently while adhering to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mask, sand, and prepare aircraft surfaces for paint application.
  • Apply glazing and sealing compounds in preparation for the final painting process.
  • Operate and maintain various preparation and priming equipment.
  • Mix paints and primers to achieve desired finishes.
  • Perform leading edge sealant work during final detailing.
  • Adhere to all safety, 5S, and housekeeping protocols, utilizing personal protective equipment and safeguarding the aircraft interior.

Additional Duties:
  • Maintain and care for shop tools and equipment as required.
  • Follow Paint shop standard practices.
  • Complete other assigned tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of painting experience.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering documents.
  • Must pass a Pulmonary Function Test for respirator certification.
  • Capable of using tools, equipment, and materials in the aircraft painting process.
  • Able to climb ladders and stairs, perform precise work, and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • Familiarity with various paint processes and products, including lacquers, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, and acrylics.
