Position Overview: Patient Access Specialist
The Patient Access Specialist plays a crucial role in managing all facets of patient access, which includes registering patients, determining the appropriate financial classification, collecting necessary insurance details, and scheduling appointments while upholding departmental quality standards. This role also entails conducting symptom and temperature screenings for hospital visitors.
This position operates on a PRN basis, with scheduling determined by the needs of the facility.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of clerical experience
- Proficiency in computer usage
- Previous experience in a medical registration setting is preferred
