Intensive Care Nurse Opportunity in Hartford, CT

We are seeking an experienced Intensive Care Nurse for a travel nurse position in Hartford, CT. This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic team and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.
About the Job:This Intensive Care Nurse role will involve caring for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment but aren't unstable enough to need ICU care. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years recent acute care experience and be able to utilize computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information.
The PCU RN is sometimes also called a step-down nurse, and the PCU is also known as cardiac stepdown, medical stepdown, neuro stepdown, surgical stepdown, and ER holding. As a PCU Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform various tasks including providing basic bedside care, stabilizing critical cardiac patients, changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care and ensure the best possible outcomes
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients and interpret electronic displays
- Initiate corrective action when information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology
To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds, and be able to cope with stress in a fast-paced environment.
Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, NIH, and 2 Years of experience. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
Salary and Benefits:We offer a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
