**Job Overview**
The State of Maine, Bureau of Human Resources is seeking a highly skilled Automotive and Construction Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our fleet services unit, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles and equipment, including automotive and construction equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical problems, utilizing technical expertise and knowledge of industry standards.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and efficient workflow.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Four (4) years' experience, education, and/or training in the maintenance, repair and/or rebuild of automotive and/or construction equipment, including two (2) years of experience working with heavy vehicle and construction equipment.
- Class B CDL with air endorsements and Class A & D inspection licenses.
- Ability to pass State paid Medical examination that includes a drug test and the Department's Respirator fit test and the driver examination and road test for the assigned equipment.
