Veolia is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our facilities and employees.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and Control Access: Responsible for monitoring and controlling access to the facility, including incoming and outgoing truck traffic, visitors, and employees.
- Document and Report: Document all incoming truck drivers, including name, trailer numbers, log in weight, manifest numbers, and receiving reports.
- Track and Record: Keep track of all other vehicles and visitors entering the premises, as well as employees entering at various gate entrances.
- Conduct Regular Rounds: Regularly conduct timely and designated rounds on the premises to ensure that security provisions have been followed according to standard operating procedures.
- Set Alarm Systems: Set alarm systems at designated times to ensure security at various buildings within the facility.
- Respond to Emergencies: Alert appropriate personnel of emergency situations, such as utility problems and/or local authorities in the event of fires, disturbances, etc.
- Manage Residual Fleet: Instrumental in executing the site's empty customer box and tanker management protocols, as well as managing and maintaining 130 dedicated residual fleet boxes.
- Perform Other Duties: Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
- Education and Experience: High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required; Associate's degree with an emphasis in law enforcement skills preferred; prior work experience of 1 to 2 years in a related position preferred.
- Knowledge and Skills: Good verbal skills; DOT Training certification required.
