Job Summary:
Parker Hannifin Corporation is seeking a skilled Aerospace Assembler to join our team. As an assembler, you will be responsible for performing a series of basic and moderately complex operations using hand tools, power tools, and test equipment to properly assemble sheet metal aircraft components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect completed work for conformance to production planning, verbal and written instructions, sketches, and specifications.
- Perform sizing, riveting, reaming, spotwelding, seamwelding, poke tacking, and braze preparation.
- Detect and provide input for resolution to faulty operations.
- Prepare and develop schedules for spotwelding, seamwelding, riveting, and fastener installation.
- Perform repairs such as small dents and scratches.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of how the work being done produces a quality part.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing planning, engineering blueprints, and sketches.
- Knowledge of machine tools, precision instruments, and good manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow demonstrated steps.
- Working understanding of how product flows in and out of the work area and its impact.
