Job Summary

Sysco is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on our fleet of vehicles and equipment. Your expertise will ensure the safety, reliability, and cost efficiency of our fleet throughout its life cycle.

Responsibilities
  • Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
  • Conduct FAI/CVI (Annual) inspections on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, light-duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment.
  • Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections per company methods on all fleet vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with refrigeration units (Reefer), lift-gates, and other equipment.
  • Address all Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write-ups in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Mentor and teach junior technicians to aid in their development.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current and valid driver's license (CDL preferred, not required).
  • Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training or 2-year school and 4 years of experience, or 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
  • ASE certifications and Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks.
Working Conditions

The Fleet Technician III will work in a fast-paced environment, often outdoors, and may be required to work in confined spaces. The associate will be exposed to wet, hot, extreme cold, and/or humid conditions, as well as moving mechanical parts.
