Job Summary

KA Recruiting Inc. is seeking a skilled Histotechnologist to join our team. As a Histotechnologist, you will be responsible for preparing tissue specimens for microscopic examination by a pathologist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination by a pathologist.
  • Assist in gross specimen examination and prepare fixed tissue specimens.
  • Perform frozen section preparations within expected time and ensure tissue is embedded properly, cut accurately, and stained correctly.
  • Perform routine, special stains, and immune histochemical stains.
  • Store or dispose of prepared specimens, slides, and blocks in a neat retrievable manner.

Requirements:

  • Certified HT or HTL (ASCP) or currently enrolled in a HT or HTL program with certification within one year of completing program or 1 year from hire date.
