Job Summary:
This leadership position plays a key role in the delivery of patient care in the emergency department. As a registered nurse, you will be responsible for using the nursing process to deliver high-quality care, assessing learning needs, implementing teaching strategies, and communicating effectively with team members and patients. You will also be expected to demonstrate good judgment, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement plans of care that address the unique needs of each patient.
Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and families, ensuring seamless coordination of care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care, including medications, treatments, and test results.
Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning, staying current with best practices and emerging trends in healthcare.
Requirements:
Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association.
Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification within 30 days of hire.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 90 days of hire.
