Job Summary

At Inventprise Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Health and Safety Officer to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing the safety program for multiple work sites, standardizing health and safety practices across all work sites, and performing regular safety audits and inspections of worksites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage EHS programs, including chemical safety, biosafety, contractor safety, emergency preparedness, radioactive material management, office and lab ergonomics, environmental compliance, and general safety.
  • Develop and implement EHS programs, procedures, or systems to meet the needs of a growing company.
  • Determine all safety/environmental-related regulations and standards that apply to the operations.
  • Communicate requirements to research staff and provide hands-on support to identify solutions as needed.
  • Maintain records, reports, and correspondence using computer databases and other software programs.
  • Schedule and conduct regular safety education and training programs for all staff.
  • Participate in formal and informal safety inspections/audits to detect hazards and unsafe working conditions.
  • Investigate accidents/injuries to determine cause and prepare recommendations for prevention.

Requirements:

  • EHS experience supporting research laboratories required, Pharmaceutical Industry experience preferred.
  • Requires four-year degree (BA or BS) with coursework in safety, environmental protection, engineering or related field.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and strategic thinking ability.
