Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team working on state-of-the-art radar systems and electronic warfare technology. As a Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with a diverse and talented group of individuals, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and program personnel to design, develop, and test software systems.
  • Participate in cross-functional product or process improvement meetings to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and tools to ensure the development of cutting-edge software solutions.
  • Be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  • Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including design, coding, and testing to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software systems.
  • Use RMS engineering processes and procedures while performing software engineering and verification activities.
  • This position requires a government security clearance, and U.S. Citizenship is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of software development experience.
  • Software development skills in at least one of the following languages: C, C++/C#, Java, Python.
  • Experience in debugging, unit testing, and integration testing.
  • Experience working with a team, as well as independently.
  • Experience with formal testing, verification, and validation.
  • Experience mentoring software engineers in a team setting.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with Linux.
  • Experience with OOA/OOD design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with Agile development process.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and principles such as Jira, GitLab, Containerization (Docker), CI/CD, Microservices (Kubernetes).
  • Experience with threading/concurrency.
  • Real Time Embedded SW Engineering skills.
  • Willingness/interest in working with and integrating the software with the hardware.
  • Experience with digital signal processing and/or radar tracking algorithms.
  • Experience with Software Modeling (UML) and architecture.
  • Understanding and application of Design Patterns.
  • Experience with Code Optimization.
  • Experience with Automated Test tools and Techniques, Static Code Analysis.
  • Experience with GPU/FPGA based architectures and languages (ex: CUDA).

Work Schedules

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
