Job Summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Technician I to join our team. As an Aircraft Technician I, you will be responsible for performing or assisting with inspection, maintenance, and repair of basic aircraft systems and structures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Inspect and Maintain Aircraft Systems: Perform or assist with inspection, maintenance, and repair of basic aircraft systems and structures under close supervision.
  2. Communicate Effectively: Communicate as required to receive and understand work assignments.
  3. Complete Paperwork: Properly complete CMP cards, work order sign-offs, and other paperwork in a timely manner.
  4. Ensure Quality Standards: Ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications.
  5. Identify and Store Customer Property: Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment, and store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely.
  6. Operate Ground Support Equipment: Follow standard operating procedures when operating ground support equipment.
  7. Protect Customer Property: Ensure all customer property is properly protected.
Additional Responsibilities
  1. Use Material Tracking System: Use material tracking system to create parts demand, and to charge labor to Work Orders, items, and squawks.
  2. Dispose of Waste: Properly collect and dispose of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic and de-icing fluids, and solvent rags.
  3. Use Company-Provided Tools: Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment.
  4. Comply with Safety Rules: Comply with safety rules and procedures, use protective equipment as required, and be alert for unsafe conditions.
  5. Support Aircraft Certification: In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required.
Requirements
  1. Working Knowledge: Working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures.
  2. Language Skills: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
