Speech-Language Pathologist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in a school setting near Mokena, IL. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy to improve speech, language, and communication skills in students.
  • Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate students, parents, and educators on strategies for improving communication skills and addressing speech-language disorders.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal outcomes for students.
  • Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology and incorporate best practices into clinical work.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and reports.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility for certification.
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Previous clinical experience in diagnosing and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and healthcare team members.
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy for individuals with speech and language challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
