Commodity Procurement Specialist

BakeMark is seeking a highly skilled Commodity Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing defined commodity product categories, preferred and exclusive supplier programs, and sold via National distribution into the bakery channel.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic plans for procurement of manufacturing and distribution product categories against forecasted demand.
- Utilize Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for procurement of manufacturing and distribution product categories against forecasted demand.
- Promote sustainable and profitable sales growth.
- Assist with supplier approvals and additional Corporate projects.
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or two - five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Relevant experience in purchasing the commodities we purchase for manufacturing and distribution (i.e. foodservice, bakery manufacturing, etc.).
- Business acumen, customer focus, process management skills, and a results-driven mindset.
