**Job Description**
Key ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Manager/Director of the Rehabilitation Services Department, the speech – language pathologist is responsible for providing, arranging for, teaching and supervising speech – language pathology services through the process of assessment, planning and implementation.
Evaluation and treatment of speech and swallowing according to approved practices, policies, and procedures of the Rehab Department of Ellis Hospital and New York State law is also a critical aspect of this role.
Demonstrating effective communication skills with all persons involved in patient care and/or hospital activities, as well as adhering to hospital policies and procedures related to mandatory education, annual health assessment, and license verification, is essential.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you must have:
- A minimum of a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- A Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech/Language Hearing Association
- Licensure to practice as a speech – language pathologist in/by the State of New York
**Estimated Salary:** $41,441 - $62,665 per year (based on 20 hours/week)
