Role Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing project management, leadership, and the control of costs and schedules for ERP transitions from acquired entities to ALS's standardized ERP systems. The functional scope encompasses both Financial and Supply Chain processes.

The Project Manager will lead the migration of finance and supply chain operations from acquired systems to ALS's established solutions. This role necessitates robust leadership of both internal teams and external partners, along with close collaboration with the steering committee and business leaders across various functions.

  • The primary focus of this role is to manage the transition of five acquired entities in the United States from their current ERP systems to Oracle Fusion Cloud, covering Financials and Supply Chain.
  • Address and resolve intricate business challenges that arise during the migration process, escalating decisions to IT and Business Leadership as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the IT PMO team, reporting to the Global IT PMO Director and the M&A integration steering committee regarding budgets, timelines, and project progress.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of ERP transitions: Partner with the M&A integration team, global ERP support, IT, and Business Leadership to develop a comprehensive ERP transition strategy. Ensure effective change management throughout the ERP transition.
  • Provide oversight for ERP Conversion Change Management: Ensure that change management is thoroughly planned and executed, with a focus on stakeholder engagement, communication, and training at all levels. Integrate change management into the ERP transition strategy and go-live plan.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships within the business community. Self-driven and adept at problem-solving, capable of formulating strategies for successful business systems transitions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to engage with technical staff and produce clear reporting and presentation materials.
  • Skilled in leading and guiding ERP transition team members in alignment with the objectives of the ERP initiative. Promotes collaboration, results orientation, and teamwork.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a decentralized, matrixed environment, particularly within cross-functional teams across various business lines.
  • Proficient in utilizing project management software tools to effectively lead, manage, and monitor project activities.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities, with a proven track record of applying program management principles and techniques to achieve results.
  • Ability to take calculated risks to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in project management related to ERP/business systems transitions or similar projects. Familiarity with Oracle ERP Financials and Supply Chain is highly desirable.
  • Three to five years of experience managing mid-sized to large teams and influencing key stakeholders.
  • Experience with master data management and data transition methodologies.
  • Experience leading teams across multiple countries.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to allocate resources effectively and manage multiple projects in a cross-functional setting.
  • Solid business acumen in project management, cost management, and developing business cases.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Project and/or program management certification and/or lean process improvement (e.g., Six Sigma) certification is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate clearly with staff, management, and clients.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for the duration of an 8-hour workday.
  • Dexterity in hands and fingers for operating computers and other equipment.
  • Must possess average vision to read reports and operate equipment.
