Fleet Maintenance Technician Job Description

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a wide range of equipment, including automobiles, trucks, vans, and forklifts.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using leading-edge technology and programs.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and skills to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records, including vehicle records and pre-trip checklists.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the reliability and safety of our fleet.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; mechanical knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift, pinch, bend, reach, climb, and manipulate objects with or without accommodations.
  • At least 18 years of age; must be able to pass a Forklift Driving Skills test (if applicable).
  • Experience with hydraulic and air brake systems, internal combustible engines, and preventative maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience repairing forklifts, working with computers, and driving trucks requiring a Class A or B CDL.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing standards, including use of Mitchell 1 and OEM Support tools.
