Position Summary
At Vail Resorts, we prioritize exceptional service, and our Culinary Supervisors play a vital role in delivering this experience. You will work closely with the Restaurant General Manager to oversee kitchen operations, foster teamwork among staff, and uphold food quality and safety standards to ensure a remarkable dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in daily restaurant operations and lead the culinary team, including recruitment, scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with food preparation standards, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Contribute to the development and training of menu items, including preparation guides and quality assurance checks.
- Conduct daily staff briefings and weekly safety meetings.
- Manage inventory and operational logistics, including receiving shipments, ordering supplies, and tracking food waste.
- Address guest concerns and ensure staff accountability for service quality.
- Perform administrative tasks as required, including budget management and payroll processing.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Culinary degree or certification preferred.
- ServSafe certification or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years of kitchen experience required, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven leadership abilities and effective communication skills; bilingual candidates preferred.
