Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Dental and Medical Emergencies: Respond promptly and effectively to dental and medical emergencies, adhering to OSHA and office procedures.
  • Maintain CPR Certification: Ensure up-to-date CPR certification to provide emergency care when needed.
  • Assist Chairside during Nitrous Oxide Administration: Safely and efficiently assist with the administration of nitrous oxide to patients.
  • Instruct Patients in Oral Hygiene and Plaque Control: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and plaque control methods to promote good oral health.
  • Prepare Dental Diagnostic X-rays: Expose and process dental diagnostic x-rays to aid in accurate diagnoses and treatment planning.
  • Act as a Liaison between Dentists and Patients: Provide exceptional patient care and communication, ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their dental experience.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Work Environment: Adhere to strict safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to OSHA and office standards.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics and science.
  • Diploma or Certificate from an Approved Dental Assisting Program: Hold a diploma or certificate from a CODA-accredited dental assisting program.
  • Preferred Experience: Two years of experience in dental or orthopedic practice, with a strong understanding of dental procedures and patient care.
